It is a bustling Monday and 9 of us decided to have a trip to Liverpool. The town is filled with lots of tourists and the worker who is busy with their own business. When the weather dips below freezing and the sun sets in the afternoon. All of us are craving for some Asia cuisine as we are staying in the UK for three months and it makes us miss home. So we decided to search for some typical restaurant who can satisfy our naughty stomach.
SILK RD Liverpool – A famous restaurant in Liverpool which serves small dishes in ‘Tapas style’ or for the larger groups ‘Meze style’. In their restaurants, they have a variety of cuisine which is suitable for tourists from different countries such as Thailand, China, Malaysia, UK, Greek and so forth.
Padthai, one of the recognized Thai foods abroad, it might not be the most widely consumed dish inside Thailand, but it is nonetheless certainly a popular meal among Thais. When I saw the word ‘Padthai’ on the menu, and I know it will become today’s lunch. It is because Padthai is the Number 1 Thailand food in my list and it can represent the taste of Asia to satisfy my food cravings.

Differentiate between typical Thailand Padthai and UK Padthai
Taste of them is definitely different as Thailand Padthai are more salty and spicy, but in the UK, it is more sweet and sour. For the ingredient, Padthai in Thailand will be served with prawn, chicken, rice noodles, tofu, beansprouts, egg, peanuts, spices and so on. But in the UK, it is more simple than the local as they only use egg, spices, rice noodles, and little peanuts. For the taste, Thailand Padthaid is more authentic, they have their own special sweetness, fragrance, tasty and it is more preferable to Asian people. For the Padthai that I ate in Silk RD Liverpool, it is sweeter, less spice, less authentic and it is more like the taste of spaghetti. But for the local residents, they will like it as this is more on their taste.
